Description: The CSX Saginaw Sub is CSX Transportation's main line between Saginaw and Carleton, Michigan. The half-point of the line lies in Plymouth, which is a major junction point between the Saginaw Sub and CSX's Detroit-Chicago main line (Plymouth Sub to the west and the Detroit Sub to the east) where a majority of CSX's Toledo-Detroit trains enter and exit between the Detroit and Saginaw Subdivisions. Important operational features of the route: Up to 2010 - CP operated haulage trains over the CSX Detroit Sub. These operations can be replicated on this route between Detroit and South Lyon (West of Plymouth). In 2019 - Lake State Railway took over operations of the Saginaw Sub north of Plymouth to Flint for their existing network from Flint to Saginaw that CSX spun-off in 2005. LSRC operations between Flint and Plymouth can easily be adapted in this version of the Saginaw Sub. The route is mainly focused on the era of 2007-2015, however, late 1990s to 2019 operations can be replicated. Version 2 features: -Added CSX Detroit Sub from Plymouth to Detroit's Rougemere Terminal. -Added CSX Toledo Terminal Sub from Carleton to North Toledo (South of Hallett). -Improved track work, signals, markers, and industry tracks for better, more realistic operations for most of the entire CSX era. -Industries and signals are for multiple eras (Late 1990s to 2019 - before the searchlight signals were removed for PTC signaling). |
