Description:
The Monument which stands at the summit of Carn Brea, between the old cornish mining towns of Redruth and Camborne in Cornwall. The 30 metre (90 ft) granite monument was erected in honour of Francis Basset, later know as Lord De Dunstanville, who died in 1835. He was a major mine owner in the Redruth & Camborne mining district at the time.
