Welcome back!

We hope all of our community members have had a wonderful time over the holiday break. In this edition of the Trainz Newsletter we have some new content for you from Jointed Rail. We've also dropped the prices on some Trainz Simulator titles, so you can fill in any gaps in your collection.

This week we're proud to bring you JointedRail's latest expansion set for Trainz Simulator. The SD80MAC Locomotive!

To date, there have only been 3 major companies to use the SD80MAC locomotive, and each of their unique logos and branding has been included in this pack. With production beginning in 1995, these 5,000 horsepower diesel-electric machines were so loved by the Consolidated Rail Corporation, that they ended up buying them all!

When Conrail's business was split between the Norfolk Southern Railway (NS) and CSX Transportation (CSXT) in 1997, the SD80MACs went with them. Norfolk Southern ended up receiving 17 Units while CSX took control of the other 13.

Included in this new pack from JointedRail, you'll find the SD80MAC Locomotive with all three different rail corporation brandings. Read More...

Every now and then we receive inquiries about First Class Tickets and how people can use them. So we decided to take some time out and explain the ins and outs of the First Class Ticket system, and just how it can help you.

If you're a regular user of the Download Station, then a First Class Ticket is something you should consider and here's why:
  • There's no limit to how much or how often you download!
  • Priority Download Station access!
  • Only 1 FCT needed per account, not per product!
  • Increased download speeds!
There are four kinds of First Class Tickets on offer, and each one lasts for a set number of days. You can pick from 90 Days, 180 Days, 365 Days, or a Lifetime subscription. Each of these tickets does the same thing; the only variance is the number of days it lasts before expiring.

Once you've purchased your First Class Ticket, head on over to the download tickets page to activate your ticket. Once activated, your account will be flagged as a FCT holder and your download speeds will be uncapped, giving you unrestricted access to as much of the Download Station as you can handle. But remember, the tickets expiry date starts getting closer as soon as you activate it!

Finally, please note that First Class Tickets are not a physical product. You won't need to wait for the postman before you can take advantage of your purchase. And keep in mind that to use a First Class Ticket, you will need a registered Planet Auran account and a copy of Trainz Simulator 09 or above.

Note: All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
